Being the leading authority on the many aspects of man’s use leather throughout history, their brochure shows colourful pictures of the unique exhibits and techniques involving the conservation of leather, together with opening times etc.
Probead (A3 folded to A4)
A company producing and supplying plasterers beading for the clean finishing of wall corners and edgings. The A4 brochure contains highly technical dimensional sketches together with tables of sizes and details of specialist tools.The cover needed to portray the fact that the company were leaders in their field and the olympic medalist theme was chosen as the final image.
Thorn Lighting ‘Revolution’ Brochure (A4)
This example is one of many publications and technical brochures designed for this world wide lighting manufacturer. This specific product was one of the first low voltage halogen light sources specifically designed to replace the traditional spotlamps found in the retail environment, and translated into several languages.
Ernest Charles ‘The Natural Choice’ (A5)
A nationally recognised supplier of both aviary and wild bird seeds and related products which has been steadily expanding over the years and advertises nationally in such publications as the RSPB magazine etc. The managing director wanted a soft natural image free of harsh typography and with muted tones. Famous London-based illustrator Sue Williams was chosen for the montage style cover illustration showing many aspects of the countryside and Ernest Charles products and a calligrapher was commissioned to produce the main title in a blend of coloured inks.
Reiki (A5)
This leaflet in pastel ‘dream’ colours and with excellent natural history photos was designed to promote the Usui School of Reiki and their courses. A matching CD insert, stationery and promotional material has been designed to present a co-ordinated image.
DCHS (A4)
The Devon Community Housing Society builds and refurbishes buildings exclusively for the use of the underpriveliged and disabled community, throughout the county. For 2 successive years Accent Design has been asked to come up with designs for their Annual Report & Accounts which needed a high degree of legibility and clarity for assimilation by all ages and eyesights.
The Oak Flooring Company (A3 folded to A4)
For this brochure featuring photos of actual completed flooring and close-up of oak-grain, etc., this locally based flooring company also asked for a less glossy finish. An unusual GF Smiths paper was chosen called Strathmore Elements featuring a feint background of fine light grey dots overprinted on a smooth silky paper.
Calibre Recruitment (A4)
Having designed the eye-catching logo this new recruitment agency wished to produce a general purpose folder with the ‘high calibre - top of the mountain’ theme identified on the cover and the photo chosen reflected this theme without resorting to stereotypical images of employees, often over-used in the recruitment business.
Equilibrum 1/3 A4
This complementary treatment leaflet in soft, calm colours combined with a dynamic flowing crescent logo shape has transformed the perception of this small company and is a real business benefit, for the future without breaking the bank.
Alglas (A4)
Alglas are leading suppliers for anti static products to the aerospace industry, based in Brixham. This A4 leaflet features their new streamlined logo which looks even better when embossed and silver blocked on their stationery, and the leaflet has a simple headline message aimed at promoting the safety aspects of Visial products used throughout the world to provide anti-static surfaces for aircraft cabin equipment dials etc.
